This sculptor and writer wanted a wrap around mosaic mural in their TriBeCa loft to remind them of their childhood by the ocean.  To work out a visual compromise between their opposite views of depicting the images in abstraction or as realistic representations, I laid-out the mosaic on site.  In doing such, we were able to adjust the sea life.  Fifteen years later, the building was found to be an old thermometer factory and everything had to be gutted to remove the mercury spills.  They saved the longest wall (structural) from demolition, but the two side walls had to be recreated.  More flowing plant life, sea fans, and an octopus found their was into the environment.
